Yes! The Carson Center is handicap/wheelchair accessible. You can enter the lobby through the front entrance and an usher will be happy to assist you. Where is the Carson Center box office & can I purchase other tickets for Carson Center shows at the PSO?

When you are facing the Carson Center, the box office is the entrance to the left of the main foyer. You can pick up/purchase tickets beginning at 6:30pm. You can also stop by the Symphony office from 10:00am-2:00pm on concert days to pick up/purchase tickets.

The PSO and Carson Center are separate non-profit organizations. We rent the Carson Center for our shows. Therefore, we are unable to sell you Carson Center tickets. Please check their website or call their box office.

Concert Etiquette

Can I meet the conductor or performers?

Our conductor and guest artists often have very busy schedules, however occasionally guest artists will make an appearance in the lobby during intermission or after the concert to take photos and shake hands!

Do I clap between movements?

The answer to that is different for every piece. The rule of thumb in classical concerts, is that as long as the conductor's arms are in the air, it is understood not to clap. This a tradition among frequent concertgoers, however, if you want to clap, feel free! If you'd rather make sure you only clap when a piece is over, keep an eye on the concert program, which lists the movements and their timings individually.

What is your late seating policy?

We understand that things happen that can postpone your arrival time. If you do arrive late, we encourage you to seek out an usher and they will be able to help you find the best time to come in and find your seat after the concert has begun.

Can I record a concert or take photos?

We ask that you do not take photos or video while music is being played, as this can be distracting not only to those sitting around you, but also to the conductor and musicians on stage. That said, photos and social media posts about your experience are encouraged before the performance begins, at intermission, or during applause!

What do I wear?

We want your visit to be as enjoyable as possible. You will see a variety of attire, ranging from casual to cocktail. We encourage our patrons to consider their "Sunday best" as traditional dress for a concert, but please feel free to wear what you are comfortable in.
